Some products are not easy to find in local grocery’s, that’s why is best to make it yourself. This was my friend’s idea but I tried it and can’t live without it. I use chickpea flour in many products. Chickpea flour is gluten free, high in fiber and has higher percentages of protein than usual flours. It also helps improve heart health and can help with weight loss due to high content of fiber, It’s simple to make. All you need is good blender, sieve and dried chickpeas.
Yield around 1 ½ cups.
2 cups of dried and roasted chickpeas
How to Roast Chickpea:
Roast the chickpeas in oven for about 20 min in 180C, or until it’s lightly browned and giving off roasted aroma. Let it cool down.
Now you ready to:
Add the chickpeas in a small batches to a coffee grinder, blender or food processor and process until pulverized and smooth
Run through a sieve to remove any particles.
Store in a closed container best in the freezer.
