Probably many of you came across green banana and didn’t know what to do with it? It’s quite simple, use them as you would as potato unless you like experimenting. I did the other day and I was happy with the result. I’m going to tell you what you can do with it.
You need:
- 2 green bananas
- coconut oil (for frying)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 200 g cheery tomatoes, cut in half
- handful fresh rosemary
- 1 scotch bonnet chilli, chopped (optional)
- salt
- black pepper
First of all wash green bananas thoroughly in water. Next, boil (skin on) for about 20 minutes or until they feel tender when pricked with a fork. Let it cool. Now you can peel (the skin should come off fairly easily after cooking). Next, cut them in pieces (picture below).
Melt coconut oil in the fried pan. Drop green bananas and fry them for about 5/ 10 minutes. Afterwards add other ingredients: onion, tomatoes, scotch bonnet, salt and pepper and fry until golden :). MOREISH !!!
