We all know that about 60% of our body is water, hence it’s very important to stay hydrated throughout the day. Drinking fluids help maintain the function of every system in your body, including our heart, brain and muscles. Minor dehydration is the hidden cause of many illnesses.
When we are stressed water can pass straight through our body, drinking linseed tea will help absorb the water better, due to the teas viscosity.
The tea is made by boiling linseeds in water. Ideally it needs to be just a bit thicker than water and have a faint nutty taste. Don’t worry if the water comes out too thick, you can dilute it with more hot water.
How to Make Linseed Tea:
Ingredients:
1 tsp linseeds
1 ltr water
Method:
- Sprinkle a teaspoon of linseeds in a pan and add 1 litre of water
- Bring tea to just under the boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Cover the pan and leave linseed to soak overnight or for 12 hours
- Sieve seeds and serve warm (you can add hot water to warm it up)
Tips:
To get your desired consistency the tea can be thinned down with hot water.
Drinking linseed tea, having a healthy diet and managing your stress is a solid basis for good health. Another benefit is that it will hydrate your skin. Who doesn’t want to look healthier, better and have glowing skin? Add this habit of drinking the tea to your daily routine, you won’t regret it. ❤ ❤ ❤
